Discounts for Ukrop’s Customers at Massanutten
Massanutten Resort, Virginia: Show your Ukrop’s Valued Customer card to receive discounts at Massanutten Resort. During regular season (December 21, 2009 through March 6, 2010, non-holiday), you can receive $5 off any regular price Monday through Saturday slope-use ticket. On Sundays during regular season (January 3 through March 7, 2010, non-holiday), you can receive $10 off any regular price Sunday 8-Hour session slope-use ticket or $5 off any night slope-use ticket. Ski Denton, Pennsylvania: Ski Denton is rolling back the price of lift tickets to what they were 50 years ago on select Mondays throughout the season. Ski Denton will sell $2 lift tickets every Monday except December 28, 2009; January 15, 2010; and February 15, 2010. (Added December 12, 2009)
Hidden Valley, Seven Springs, and Wisp Resorts: Hidden Valley Resort, Seven Springs Resort, and Wisp Resort have teamed together to offer benefits to each others’ unlimited season passholders. Unlimited Season Passholders at any of these resorts will each receive one complimentary full day lift ticket and a 50% discount on regularly priced lift tickets for any additional visit to either of the other two participating resorts, excluding Saturdays and holiday periods. Each resort’s Unlimited Season Passholders will also receive special lodging rates Sunday through Thursday nights, excluding holiday periods and subject to availability. Pennsylvania Dedicated Skier Program
Participating Pennsylvania Ski Areas: A DCSki reader reports that the Pennsylvania Ski Areas Association runs a program called the “PA Dedicated Skier Program,” allowing one to purchase 24 lift ticket vouchers for $795, valid at 22 participating ski areas in Pennsylvania. This works out to about $33 per lift ticket. The tickets are valid anytime, including weekends and holidays, and at most resorts are reportedly good for an extended day ticket. Military Discounts at Canaan Valley Resort
Canaan Valley Resort, West Virginia: Active and retired members of the military can receive a 20% midweek discount and 10% weekend discount on all recreation activities available at Canaan Valley Resort (except golf, which is 10% off any time). A 15% discount will also be offered toward lodging accommodations when purchasing a room at rack rate. Military ID is required at time of purchase, and the discount will not be given toward package purchases or cabin/cottage rentals. Midweek Deals at Canaan Valley Resort
Canaan Valley Resort, West Virginia: West Virginia’s Canaan Valley Resort will be offering various non-holiday midweek discounts throughout the 2009-2010 winter season. On Mondays, if you bring a non-perishable food item, you will receive a $10 lift ticket. On Tuesdays, you can tube all day for $25 per person. On Wednesdays, you can buy one lift ticket and receive one free (of equal or lesser value). On Thursdays, military, firefighters, EMS, or police officers with valid ID can receive half price lift and rentals. College students with a valid ID can purchase half price lift and rentals on Fridays. And any day the local schools are closed due to snow, Canaan Valley Resort will offer $18 lift/ski rentals. Timberline Resort, West Virginia: Residents from surrounding Counties of West Virginia’s Timberline Resort can purchase an all-day lift ticket every Wednesday throughout the season for $12, with $10 all-day rentals. Locals can also purchase $8 night tickets and $8 rentals every Thursday night throughout the season. To receive these discounted tickets, you must show an ID or report card from surrounding counties. Timberline Resort, West Virginia: College students (with valid ID) can purchase discounted lift tickets, rentals, and lessons during College Days at West Virginia’s Timberline Resort. Massanutten Resort, Virginia: From opening day through December 20, 2009, and March 8, 2010 through closing day, Virginia’s Massanutten Resort will offer discounted skiing. For example, an 8-hour adult weekday lift ticket will sell for $32, while an 8-hour adult weekend lift ticket will sell for $38. Bryce Resort, Virginia: Active Military members (with Military ID) and their dependents can receive discounted lift tickets on non-holiday weekdays at Virginia’s Bryce Resort this winter. For example, a midweek day lift ticket normally selling for $40 will be available to military members for $33. Fourth and Fifth Graders can Ski Free at Pennsylvania Resorts
Participating Pennsylvania Ski Areas: The Pennsylvania Ski Areas Association is offering a 4th and 5th Grade Snowpass Program, providing an opportunity for eligible students to ski free at 22 Pennsylvania ski areas (when accompanied by a paying adult) during the 2009-2010 winter season. Eligible students must apply for the program and pay a $15 processing fee. After their application is processed, they will receive a Snowpass Booklet containing one free learn to ski/board package and 3 free lift ticket coupons for each of the 22 participating Pennsylvania ski areas. $10 Off Adult Lift Tickets on Discount Days at Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain, Pennsylvania: Blue Mountain will be offering a $10 discount on adult (age 19 and older) lift tickets for different groups of people throughout the season. Discounts are only available on non-holidays. Men can receive a $10 discount on Mondays, while ladies can receive a $10 discount on Wednesdays. Business persons can receive a $10 discount on Tuesdays if they bring their business card. Members of ski clubs can receive a $10 discount on Thursdays by showing a valid Ski Club I.D. College students can receive a $10 discount on any non-holiday weekday, when showing their college ID. Fourth Graders Ski Free at Spring Mountain
Spring Mountain, Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania’s Spring Mountain Ski Area will offer a “Four for Free” program this winter, providing fourth grade students with a free season pass valid anytime during the 2009-2010 winter season. One free group lesson and two free rentals are included. From December 1, 2009 through January 31, 2010, students may receive their pass for a $5 processing charge. From February 1, 2010 through the end of the season, students may sign up, but the cost will be $50.
