I got e-mail back from Horst. Apparently, they're not doing the scenic chair rides on the weekends anymore, so there's no more grass skiing on weekends, either. It was always a bit of a fun adventure to go once or twice in the summer, but I can't justify taking off work on a Tuesday or Thursday to go grass ski... A powder day? Maybe. A lawn day? No chance.

... lawn day laugh

Good one, scootertig. Your comment raises the point that grass skiing requires an entirely new vocabulary to deal with commonly encountered situations.

In snow skiing, we fall and create sitzmarks.
In grass skiing, we fall and create ... ? ... divots.

What else?
