I have mainly been a lurker on here since I moved to Columbus, Ohio before the 2012-2013 season and really only cared about BK and the CV areas. It has been a massive week for my wife and I. Tuesday we found out we are having a baby girl September 1st! Then yesterday my wife accepted a position at the Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO (Denver). After 10 years we are FINALLY moving there (met my wife in 2008).

As a result, this place just won't have much relevance. I'm excited to get a Rocky Mountain Superpass + and a few 4-packs to Loveland and doing battle managing I70 traffic. I'm excited to be 5.5 hours closer to family in Nebraska and excited that I pretty much never have to fly to get to good skiing ever again if I want. I'm excited to look outside every day and see mountains!

Best of luck to all of you!

Good for you Droogie. You can still stop in to say hi and invite all your old buddies here out to ski with you when in CO.

Ok, cut out all the lurking.  From now on we are going to expect detailed trip reports with lots of photos.  Best wishes with new home and new baby!

Congrats on all counts!

Beats Ohio ski areas, but you knew that. :)

i once stopped and skied a few hours at Mad River Mountain enroute to Chicago to visit my son.  Wanted to put the other Mad River on my life list.  I met and had lunch with sme very nice patrollers.  One was the son of the founder.  He was justifiably proud of their after school kids programs and race team.

Congratulations on your move.  By the way, I also moved - to Northern New England, and I am still active in DCSki.
