It turns out that there is a ski map painter who has been mentored by James Neihues in recent years.  Rad Smith did the new map of Beech Mountain.  Areas using maps painted by Neihues include Cataloochee, Massanutten, Snowshoe, Winterplace.  Those are in his book.  Apparently Wisp had a map painted in 2007 but it's not being used.
