Cinnamon Fern Chalet

Located in Canaan Valley, West Virginia

Cinnamon Fern Chalet is located in the gated Northpoint resort community of Canaan Valley, West Virginia. The home is a well-appointed, contemporary cedar chalet with walls of glass. This wonderful chalet has 3 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. While the chalet can accommodate 10, this house is cozy and appropriate with even two guests. Cinnamon Fern Chalet is pet free and smoke free.

The Great Room has a vaulted ceiling with skylights and features a floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace. You and your guests will appreciate the views of the valley and the flat screen HDTV, Blue-ray DVD, cable, VHS, and X-Box. One sofa has a queen sleeper. The kitchen is fully equipped and the chalet provides free long distance and local telephone service.

On the lower level, Cinnamon Fern Chalet has a full bathroom and two bedrooms. One bedroom has 1 king bed (with advanced notice we can reconfigure the king to 2 twins). This bedroom has direct entry to the bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds. Both bedrooms have cable and VCR or DVD and direct access to the lower deck.

The loft has a full bathroom and is set up as a bedroom with 1 king and 1 daybed with a pop-up trundle. Entertainment on this level includes TV, VCR, and a stereo radio/MP3/CD/cassette player.

Multi-level decks wrap around the home. They feature an outdoor hot tub, wood Adirondack chairs, porch swing, charcoal grill, and picnic table.

When you and your guests arrive your beds will have been made since linens, towels, and blankets are included. The chalet is stocked with books, board games, X-Box games, blocks, and Legos. For younger guests, the chalet has outlet covers, a highchair, eating utensils, and a portable playpen/crib.

Cinnamon Fern Chalet’s setting is very private. The community borders the Monongahela National Forest. The driveway connects to trails of the Canaan Valley trail system. At 3550’, there are beautiful winter views of the valley, wildlife refuge, and the ski areas. The mountain sunrises and sunsets are spectacular!

Cinnamon Fern Chalet is only a few minutes drive from all area attractions including Dolly Sods and Otter Creek wilderness areas, Timberline (4 miles), and White Grass Cross Country Center (4 miles), and Canaan Valley Resort (4 miles).

Cinnamon Fern Chalet is less than four hours from Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, & Baltimore; and less than three hours from Pittsburgh. In winter, four-wheel drive is recommended for the mountain roads.
