| Resort Overview - reported by M. Scott Smith, DCSki Editor |
Located in north-central PA, Ski Sawmill is far from commercialized; the small ski area is unpretentious and offers economic lift ticket prices. Expert skiers might quickly tire of Sawmill’s slopes and modest vertical, but the ski area is great for those new to the sport. A tubing area is also offered.
In 2011, Ski Sawmill installed a new triple chairlift, which it had purchased from Ski Shawnee.
| Summer Activities |
In the summer, Ski Sawmill offers activities such as paintball and mountain biking. Rentals are available. Ski Sawmill can also come up with custom group packages for churches, boy scouts, family reunions, etc., including activities such as hay rides, bonfires, and archery classes.

March 2, 2008 at 11:37 am This is THE place for large groups and young people. Excellent Lodging, fast lift lines, and wonderful people, not to mention tubing, a terrain park for snowboarders, manageable runs for beginners and intermediates, and enough slope to keep more advanced skiers happy while introducing beginners to skiing.
After three years in other area places, we have found the perfect place for our group, primarily because, on top of the skiing and great service, there is a place to hang out and be together in their bunkhouse. It is also clean, lots of showers and great mattresses. We had the most wonderful weekend! |
