It’s March, and that means it’s time for spring festivals at Mid-Atlantic resorts. A number of resorts will hold carnivals and festivals in the coming weeks, bringing fun activities to the slopes such as pond-skimming contests, games, live music, and prizes. Pennsylvania’s Hidden Valley Resort will hold its First Annual Spring Carnival this weekend, from March 8-9, 2008, and a number of readers on the DCSki Message Forums are planning to attend. Whitetail will hold its Springfest from March 7-9, and Liberty will celebrate Springfest from March 8-9. Jack Frost and Big Boulder will celebrate Beach Party Weekend March 8-9, along with Camelback. Blue Mountain will have a Cardboard Box Derby on March 9. In Virginia, Bryce Resort will holds its WinterFest and Costume Day with Pond Skimming on March 8.

A list of upcoming events is provided below. Festivities won’t end this weekend; they will be scattered throughout March, so be sure to check the full DCSki Event Schedule for a comprehensive list.

Note that all of these events are tentative and scheduled to change; please contact each resort directly to verify event details before making a trip.
