So Vail Resorts should be announcing their new Epic Pass on Tuesday. However due to shooting in Boulder where lots of Vail employees call home, Vail decided to postpone the announcement to Wednesday.

However I was able to find a cached website from Denver post talking about the new product. I think it was cached by Google before it was deleted for Vail’s company-wise postpone. Again, this is just a rumor. Please wait for official announcement tomorrow (Wednesday).

In short, full epic pass is $783, $196 less than 2020/2021, and $216 cheaper than 21/22 full Ikon pass. Epic local pass is $583, $146 lower than 2020/2021’s $729 and 21/22 Ikon Base Pass’s $729. Prices go back to 2015/2016 season when Epic only operates 11 US resorts.

Again, just a rumor at this moment.

Interesting. If it proves true, renewing my pass will be a no brainer. Locally, Timberline also reduced its early season pass price to $350. I guess we are in a race now for the bottom.

I think it’s true. It looks like a pre-written press release that should have gone online along with Vail’s announcement.

It’s getting interesting to see how the industry goes in the post pandemic era.

 Thanks for sharing.

I was planning to suck it up and get Epic pass next season because Liberty, Whitetail and Roundtop are now Epic.  I am pleasantly surprised by this news.

Always impressed by people who are so tech savvy that can find something like this.....

It's for real! Just logged into my snow.com account ...

Just checked and 20% off is game-on! I could, if I want ski just around Lake Tahoe for an exorbitant $495 per person oh dear!!! I think we'll go for the regular local pass for $583 as we'll want to hit Utah etc.

Woo Hoo!!

Anybody know if you buy it now, it's good for the remainder of this ski season?

Thanks

Answer is NO.   You can start using in 2021 Summer if you purchase now (i.e. spring).  See link and screen shot from FAQ below.
