Check out Canaan Valley web cam, looks like their biggest snowfall of the year and it is May 2, still snowing. Too bad we can’t hike up and ski, ha

The magic of 4K elevation, if I worked there I would tell the boss I forgot to empty out the shack at top of the chair lift  and just happen to have skis in the back of the snowmobile.

Nope.  Chip suggests skiing at Canaan Valley Resort.....Whitegrass has pulled its fences, removed bridges, etc.!

A historic day for all-time record-breaking weather here. In records dating back more than a century, no May snowfall event has ever occurred that comes close to matching what has happened here. Snow fell all day today, sometimes at a moderate rate in the afternoon, although borderline temperatures held down accumulations during that time. With nightfall, accumulating snow resumed and continued into the night.

Can we pack this into a bottle and pull cork for January 2024. 10 inches so far, still snowing and forecast has snow continuing through tomorrow. Isn’t this their biggest snow event for 2022/23? It would be worth hiking up and skiing down even if I got a ticket, kind a like cheating the summer.
