Hi there, my name's Ben. I'm 19, been skiing since I was little, but never very much nor anywhere but the local mountains. I like to say that I forget everything every summer - I'm admittedly a pretty mediocre-intermediate. At least I can say that I don't go down the slope with the bunny wedge the whole time!
I just picked up my first set of ski equipment yesterday from Ski Chalet. I was tired of renting. I got K2 Omni 5.5 skis, Technica Vento 6 boots, and Scott Series 4 RS9 poles. They cost way too much for a poor college student so I'm going to make full use of my Night Club Card and go to the mountain all the time, especially during winter break from the University of Maryland, which lasts until January 24.
Hey - I bunny-wedged my way down the green trails of Snowshoe last week and had a blast! I'm an experienced water skier trying to make the transition to land and just need more practice. The info on this site is great and greatly appreciated.
