With snow in the forecast Halloween weekend for the nearby snowbelt resorts (Snowshoe, Canaan, Wisp, etc), I was wondering if anyone knew if any local resorts plan an early opening this season (e.g., in a week or two?) I remember that both Wisp and Seven Springs have opened in early November in the past when they could make snow. Can't wait to get out on the slopes, even if the terrain is limited (got new telemark skis I need to try out).
