Going to canaan valley for the first time next weekend. wondering what i should expect concerning the lodging (i'm staying at the main lodge) and if there is any nightlife (especially at the lodge). any info would help. thanks.

if your looking for nightlife, don't expect much in canaan valley. i do have a couple of suggestions, the pub at timberline has a dj at night, but seems to close up just when the fun starts. Tucker's Rest. sometimes has live entertainment, this will be a hit or miss depending on who's playing. In the town of davis there are a couple of pubs that offer either a dj or live entertainment.
