It's name is Homewood. Funky, old, spare, inexpensive. I went yesterday for a look on my rest day. Drove up the west side from S lake. That drive is closed most of the time in winter, beautiful in good weather with viewing points, parks, hiking, etc. you pass the trailhead for Mt. Tallac, a famous backcountry area. Homewood is about midway on the west side of the lake. The access, hwy. 89 is easy from N lake, so it is classified as a N lake area. I spent some time in the bar talking to people. It has some serious steeps, great views of the lake, great trees, great wind shelter, 1600 vert., lots of kids programs. But the base is right at the lake and they are mostly melted out this year.
