There is an event that anyone who is interested in help preserve the history of skiing and other snow sports in WV should attend.... It's the public announcement of the creation of the Snow Sports Museum of West Virginia. It will be on Saturday, July 14, 3 to 6 pm at Black Bear Resort Lodge in Canaan Valley. Meet those responsible for putting this together and help welcome our special guest, Kathy Hayes, Historian for the Ske Club of Washington DC which was the group responsible for creating a ski area on Cabin Mountain in 1952. The event is open to the public and will have appetizers and beverages for the attendees. Please consider supporting this effort to preserve snow sports in West Virginia. See you on the 14th!

We are really gaining traction on the initial events.  Now the hard work begins.  Fundraising, collecting artifacts, fundraising, preserving history, fundraising.  If you want an nice event to attend dealing with skiing history, come and join us on the 14th.
