Going to tline in February with 3 grandkids. They do fine at massanutten on green trails. Is salamander ok for young kids from the top down ? That skied the triple chair runs at Canaan last year with no issues for beginners. Thanks in advance.

Should be okay on Salamander.  My friend who was a cautious intermediate when we went to check out Timberline several years ago enjoyed it.  Took a little extra effort because there was 4-5 inches of fresh snow that morning.  So although it was groomed, she ended up being surprised by the difference when stopping in some ungroomed snow on the side.

Always best to check out a trail solo before taking beginners/intermediates.  Snow conditions can make a quite a difference.  Unlike the Mnut greens, and Lower Showtime, Salamander is a relatively long trail.  Good fun but best to know as much as possible beforehand.

It gets a little flat in one part, I couldn't keep enough momentum. I only skied that trail once for that reason. I could see catching an edge where's its flat. Your grandkids should be fine.

EZPZ for the wedge and christy crowd. A long fun adventure for the first timers.

Sally can get very crowded. More so than at CVR. If you are skiing mid-week, no issue.

The blues off the mid mountain chairlift may actually be more comfortable for them if they can handle the slightly steeper pitch.
