Did Liberty/Whitetail/Roundtop used to have 4 hour or half-day passes?  Do they or anyone else still have them?  I wanted to go out with my daughter for a few hours on Sunday morning but $160 for just a few hours is pretty steep. I haven’t been able to see any options like this on their websites.

Yes they did, and no they don't now.

"No. To help keep you safe this year, we are limiting the number of skiers and riders on the mountain and will not be offering half-day tickets."

Thank you!  I can see the reasoning.

As I remember it, the half day was $70 and the full day was $75 last year. Now it’s $80 for one option. That might make it easier to swallow. Granted I would always take the $5 savings b/c 4 hours is enough for me at Whitetail.

For what it’s worth, the conditions are marginal now, but a lot better than last year.

Massanutten switched to 8-hour and 4-hour tickets quite a while ago.  Helped eliminate the extra crowds in the mornings since people didn't feel the need to arrive at a particular time if they only planned to ski for 4 hours any way.  I think there is an extra 30 min to allow for getting ready, especially for people who rent at the resort.

Night skiing starts at 4pm and is only Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon this season.  The special deal for this winter is Last Chair, which is $20 for the final two hours.  That's either 3:00-5:00 or 7:00-9:00pm if there is night skiing.

Massanutten season passholders and Indy holders do not need reservations.
