Sierra at Tahoe was a close one - it appears snowmaking equipment helped save the resort

Yep - terrible summer here with smoke. haze and ash - even in Incline Village. We actually drove to Sonoma CA to stay for a week to get a break from the smoke. As of today, Caldor is edging closer to Heavenly but looks like the trajectory plus containment (25%) maybe will spare them fingers crossed (yellow circle is Heavenly) but who knows .

News from south Tahoe on Sunday, Sept. 5 was better.  Sounds like Heavenly was lucky with the winds so all the work done by the fire fighters will pay off.
