Apart from Snowshoe, it looks pretty bleak from many mid-Atlantic resorts during the holiday. A few cold nights, but near record highs as well. Not even prayers or incantations can help now.

Holy crap!  I played golf this morning in VA.  One of my golf partners spoke of a news story he read about 100" snow expected in Tahoe and he doesn't even ski.

You're making it tough.  I'm not going to lie.  But I'll opt for envy over hate.  Get after it for us.  I might take the mountain bike out this afternoon.  <insert eye roll emoji>

Jim!!!!! Yo dude!  If you are out here let me know and we can make chicken and waffles for breakfast, quesadillas with Cotija+Monterey jack, green peppers + Guajillo peppers. Dinner can be a smokey, blackened Steelhead, Cioppino creamy 100% San Fran style tomato sauce with crusty home-made Pane Francese, a home made Pho reduced 8 hours with grilled thinly sliced pork and rib eye ( I use an old-school Rival Electr-O-Matic food slicer) , or a "packer's brisket" low and slow for 9 hours with our "honi-honi" style BBQ sauce - burnt ends, the whole shooting match OR fresh homemade pasta with Puttanesca sauce, with home made sliced Porchetta. All served with nothing but a Sonoma VJB wine selection. Let me know - from Aspen Extreme " ... Skiing is the easy part, Karl ..."

First you "crush" us with the snow pictures, then you send the food info before I've had dinner ---stock-vector-very-hungry-starving-emoticon-emoji-smiley-face-character-drooling-and-holding-a-knife-and-fork-338971907.jpg

hey i love food and snow - can you blame me? If Conan's keeper asked ME what is best  i'd say  forget the "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women" and just eat and slide on snow! And women LOVE a good man in the kitchen ;;-)

Meanwhile, Im struggling to rake dog poop into the bin because the damn grass keeps growing slowly, and I already winterized my tractor.
