Today's small batch artisanal meteorology:
The second snowfall of 2022 blanketed the Washington, D.C. area on January 7 with 2 inches of powder accumulating in Alexandria, Va.’s West End by 7:30 a.m.
6 in the laurel highlands, 2-3 down below.
7S is the only resort that after 3-4 days of very good snowmaking temps, plus six inches of snow, somehow has LESS open than they did two weeks ago.
They closed the alley which had no features, and the lost boy trail for snowmaking.
So that leaves you with wagner, about a 400' drop and the little switchback trail next to it which they named each segment as a separate trail to make it look like they have more slopes/trails.
