How crazy would it be to do CVR to Bald Knob in alpine gear? What is the elevation change?

Yes I know I should spring for a touring setup.

Probably no fun. People do it, and end up postholing carrying skis even on the single track part. Once on the pipeline you'll definitely be hiking to Bald. Even though the single track is relatively flat, there's no room to sidestep up, and no room to bleed speed on any downs.
