For the second year in a row my wife & I made it out to Colorado for just under two weeks. We again skied the last week of March at Winter Park and the first week of April at Breckenridge less one day at Vail. Ended up getting out 8 out of a possible 12 days. Would ski a couple days then take off a day. The high altitude and long days wear on you a bit.
Both years offered exceptional conditions with typically fresh powder (full on blizzard conditions one day at WP) to a final blue bird day at Breck. Wasn't sure we would get relief from the winds as a few days it prevented us from accessing the high country. One day last year we were just under the Horseshoe bowl T-bar on the Columbine cat track when a recorded gust well over 100mph happened. I believe the weather station recording the wind - weather is at the top of peak 9 or 10 or over 13,000+ feet. We were okay sheltering on the cat track by a ridge but later took a drive around that saw many trees having fallen on houses etc.
Our last day this year, April 6th was a windless blue bird day. The Imperial lift was running and we took full advantage. Skied the Imperial bowl then over to Whale's Tail. It was a great day to cap off this trip!
