The boys, ages 26 and 20, skied from the summit.  It’s 8 miles, 8000 vertical feet from the trailhead.  Many claim Shasta to be the greatest ski mountain in North America; 14k feet, 360 degrees of skiing, glaciers but lacking crevasses .  I started all 3 of them skiing as little kids.

thought a little bragging would be ok in the quiet season.

Wow, that's quite an impressive ski trip up Mt. Shasta! Props to you for instilling a love of skiing in them from a young age. Sounds like you've created a great family tradition of conquering mountains together. You deserve some bragging rights, Denis!
