I got my first day of the 24-25 season on Friday at Mountian High near LA! I got a great deal on the Cali Pass early in the spring, so I used that for their pass holders-only day on Friday.

They had one white ribbon of death from the top of their quad and one run of the beginner trail. It was not much, but it was just so nice to be out on the hill. As it was a pass-holder day, they had free food and giveaways. I enjoyed some free food and got ten runs in, but alas, I didn't win any swag.

It should be noted that Mountian High being open this year is a huge win as a forest fire almost took out the place this summer. Luckily some quick-thinking staff turned on the snow guns and saved the area!

Already planning day two!

**Update**

Day two! China Peak near Fresno CA. A funky little place that gets hammers with snow (read my write up https://www.dcski.com/articles/1575):. the storms that hit the west dumped about a foot here. They had about 10 runs open with three real ways down. Got 10 runs in. No lines to speak of all day. It was a nice day.

Also went nordic skiing in the afternoon, so does that could as day 3?
