I'm seeing some totals of 9" locally but I've heard some rumblings of much more. What do our resident weather prognosticators see?

My friends and I have a trip planned to TL and CV with our families next Weds-Friday.

Snow forecast looks promising! But, yeesh, we're not sure about getting there on Wednesday from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.

Thanks, snapdragon.

As Timberline passholders, my friends and I have made this drive several times a season lately. We’re located a bit farther north, so taking US 50 west from I-81 to VA 259 south, then picking up US 48 (Corridor H) west from Wardensville WV to Davis has become our go-to route. It’s more convenient for us and avoids the twisty ascent and descent of Great North Mountain on Route 55.

Our concern for this coming week was the snowfall expected at home and in the CV on Wednesday when we’d drive over. We do have AWD cars but at one time the forecast was for nearly 10” of snow as we made the drive Wednesday. Seems like a lot to push through 😲 esp. on the climb up the Allegheny Front.

Will keep an eye 👁️ on the forecast.
