We were in Cannan Valley for the weekend. Due to the bad weather, we stopped skiing at Timberline @ noon and went to White Grass for lunch.
As we were eating, the front came through and knocked the power out. All good as we were just wrapping up. As we're driving out, back to DC, a massive tree branch fell in the middle of the road. We were cut off. I was certain it would take hours(if not days) to get this fixed.
One minute later I look back and see a Kubota side by side coming up the road with two legitimate WVA locals. "Chip says a tree fell down" as they are pulling out chainsaws.
A bunch of us helped and within 5 minutes we were free and clear.
Granted, not a epic "I needed my snorkel the powder was so deep" but I'm still chalking up to an epic ski story.
