when did TL get mostly/close to 100% open last year?
They opened at around 60% in early December if I remember correctly. They have been pounding the snow for the last 30 + hours and have another 24 hours to go in this window. I can hear the guns from our house.
every trail was open on opening weekend last season, minus 1 of the double blacks, last year
November 10, 2025
Snowmaking began Monday morning around 7am and will continue through the night.
This is more than just a test & tune of the snowmaking system. Thanks to more upgrades this year, our snowmaking system is bigger and badder than ever. We’re already taking advantage of the weather this morning with some full-tilt snowmaking, and things are just getting started. Conditions will be even better tonight, meaning Mountain Ops will be able to run the system at maximum capacity overnight.
While it’s still too early to call an Opening Day, we’re going all-out during this first snowmaking window. The 25/26 season will be here before you know it!
got to have 72 hours of continuous potomac highland pow production to open the line...helps tremendously to start on frozen ground...got neither ...patience arctic jedis...yew!
...that 72 hrs is rapidly approaching. Are we making turns at The Line this weekend!!!???
Timberline just announced on social media that they’re opening on Thursday
Here are the details for early season at Timberline from the email sent out today.
Opening Day is Thursday, December 4th! |
We’ve made a significant amount of snow on our most popular terrain, and winter is just getting started! Snowmaking efforts will continue between now and Opening Day. We’ll be able to get a more accurate assessment of which terrain will be available on Opening Day as snowmaking and grooming continue. Mountain Ops will gradually open additional terrain following Opening Day.
To celebrate this early-season opening, we’re kicking off the 25/26 season with Bonus Days!
Bonus Days will be in effect from Thursday, December 4th, to Thursday, December 11th.
Bonus Days daily lift tickets will be reduced to $69, and rentals $29 per day. Bonus day lift tickets and rentals can be purchased both in person and online.
Perfect & Gold Season Passholders can bring a friend for free! Perfect & Gold Season Pass holders are permitted one guest per day, and both passholder and guest must be present at the ticket window to receive their free daily lift ticket.
Silver and Bronze Pass holders can use their pass on any day of the week during Bonus Days! |

Is purchasing a bonus day ticket a specific product or do we just buy a regular ticket and get refunded like some of their other promotions? I can’t find info on the website. Also, if I’m only going to ski there a few times this season is it better to get an upfront 1 day pass to take advantage of the credits or their 3 day pass? First time going up there

It wasn't a "bonus ticket," it was a sale on gift cards with a few bonus dollars added as a Black Friday sale that ended Dec. 1.
I only make the drive to Tline once a season. I start from Massanutten after my timeshare week there, which is much closer than my house near Raleigh, NC. I've only been skiing midweek. My approach the last couple years was to use any credit I had leftover from the previous season to buy the first day ticket. Then I get the second ticket and use whatever credit is left over for that one. I bought a Gift Card last year and the year before.
While it's possible to use credit online, for midweek skiing I just get the ticket at the desk after parking. Then I don't have to type in the long number associated with a Gift Card.
The RFID lift access card is essentially two things on one card. One number is the lift pass and another is the gift card ID.
bonus ticket is a reduced price pass good the opening week...or find a season pass holder and get a free one...thanks tline...yew!
