The Snow Sports Museum of West Virginia will be holding our 6th annual Hall of Fame Classic on Sunday, September 13 at Canaan Valley Resort.  We have a 9AM shotgun, captain's choice with plenty for prizes and basically a great tournament on a great course. It"s one of our two major fundraisers to keep the museum's doors open. $400/ team or $100/player. Golfers can buy 2 mulligans and we have putting contest as well at $5/attempt with a 50/50 payout. We stopped wasting money on the hole in one insurance instead will be paying $150 or more to each closest to the pin winner on the par threes.  Winning team gets $400 and 2nd and 3rd will receive cash as well. We may up the winners takes if we exceed 30 teams.  There will be a pizza feast after the tournament and other prizes will be given at that time.  Consider supporting the Snow Sports Museum of West Virginia this fall and have a great time in doing so.  Go to snowsportsmuseumwv.org to register.  Questions to Kim Williams at kim@snowsportsmuseumwv.org.  Hope you help us preserve the history of the industry in WV!

That sounds really great.   I've played about 27 holes so far this year and my game reaks of it.   How many players have there been the last few years ?

We usually have from 18 cup to 30 teams. We have the capacity to put 32 teams out but prefer to keep the number below 30.   Instead of buying (wasting our money) the hole in one insurance we give a closest to the pin prize on all four par 3s of $150/each.  Depending on the number of  teams, we may up the winning prize amounts as well.   It's a great time!

I hope to play in the tourney again as I have for many years.  The course is always in beautiful shape, it doesn't get the traffic like ones closer to urban areas.  KWILL and company do a great job putting on the event and usually the early Fall weather is ideal for golf.
