I thought I smelled something fishy this morning when I read the warning for Tucker County... only 8 inches?!

The new, updated WINTER WEATHER WARNING:

TONIGHT... SNOW WILL DEVELOP TOWARD MIDNIGHT AND MIX WITH SLEET. SNOW SHOULD ACCUMULATE 1 TO 3 INCHES, WITH THE GREATEST AMOUNTS ALONG THE RIDGE TOPS. A SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION OF ICE IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT... SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES BEFORE ENDING EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. WE EXPECT A TOTAL ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 14 INCHES IN GARRETT, PRESTON, AND TUCKER COUNTIES, AND A TOTAL OF 5 TO 10 INCHES IN WESTMORELAND AND FAYETTE COUNTIES. THE GREATEST AMOUNTS WILL FALL ON THE MOUNTAIN RIDGES.

So.. lets just assume that Timberline/Canaan will be seeing a bit more than projected for the rest of the county, maybe 4-5 inches tonight... maybe 12-16 tomorrow and tomorrow night... and they haven't factored Saturday in yet at all.

Do I smell winter?

Oh yeah, next Wednesday night, keep your eyes open in the high elevations, snow starting and continuing through friday night.
