Went rafting for the 1st time over labor weekend on the New River. All the guides could talk about was the impending opening of the Upper Gauley. I can certainly see why! Cool pics.

Last time I ran the Gauley, got pushed to into the Room of Doom (just out of the picture to the left). Surfed, struggled, flipped. Oh S*&T. Fortunately, washed out, rolled up, paddeled on. But MAN does that picture bring back memories. Too old, fat and weak now. Do it while you can - Liquid Snow - there's nothin' like it!
