It's official as of 2:40 pm Liberty and Roundtop have announced on their recorded phone message that they will open this Saturday. No trail counts yet.

Expect the Beginner Area, Dipsy Doodle, and Sneaky Pete at Liberty. If we're lucky, Heavenly on the backside will also be open and possibly the Terrain Park.

If the terrain park opens it will probably just be some rails and boxes and stuff. It's unlikely they'll make enough for any kind of jump.

But the conditions will probably be marginal compared to mid-season.

Might as well just give up and take up water-skiing.

Roger you're starting to sound like someone else.

Liberty expanded the snowmaking last year and opened with Heavenly on the backside. My guess is that they are doing the same this year. Keep bringing that cold!

I just hope they or Whitetail can stay open during the week next week. I won't be able to go until then.
