IT'S ONE OF THE FEW LARGER NEW ENGLAND SKI AREAS THAT I'VE NEVER SKIED, ALTHOUGH HAVE DONE AFTER HOURS DRIVEBY. ANYBODY CARE TO OPINE WHETHER THE NEW EXPANSION MAKES LOON WORTHY OF A VISIT?

I skiied Loon a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Was much more accessable than other resorts and was asking myself why it isn't as well known outside of New England. I was there midweek, and as I understand it can get crowded on weekends so the expansion may help in that respect.

There was nothing noteworthily steep when I went there several years ago, but some very nice long cruisers and good snow. Beautiful views up to... what Notch is that just to the east? This expansion looks like it will add some good yo-yo terrain!
