Looking for used skis for my teenaged son. He says he'd like to find one of K2's models that suit his ability and skiing style.
He's an intermediate skier, goes fast (watch out!), rarely turns and tries the easier feaures on terrain parks.
Any advice on K2 models to choose from the past 1-3 years for him?
Thanks,
Woody
What about Public Enemies?
Well first off I think you better make sure he knows how to turn and that he does this when skiing most resorts in this area. When in terrain park this is fine but when on all other trails bombing down hills is what gets people hurt and most times not the skier doing the bombing
What length are you looking for?
What length are you looking for?
About 170 cm.
+3 on the PE's. Plenty of used and even new on eBay floating around cheap. Good all around carver and park ski.
i have a pair of the k2 public enemy in 179 if you want em for like $75. (no bindings)
Crunchy, what year are your PE's? I may be interested. Pic's?
Thanks!
last years. i few base gnarls from spring skiing at the bird, but nothing close to a core shot or anything. nothing a normal tuneup wont fix. i think the D-man has dibs but if he doesn't want em you can have em. i woulda kept em, but when i saw the 07/08 Dynastar Legend 8000's on sac for $279!!! it was a no brainer that I needed the bindings for those instead
I have some of last year's PEs (179cm) still in plastic and might be selling them, so let me know how the other deals unfold.
I really wish I scored some of the 8000s on SAC, that was a killer deal. I have been thinking about that ski for a couple years now and just waiting for an excuse to buy...
might want to try dynastars trouble maker. pretty soft forgiving ski but alot of fun. if the boy doesnt turn and trys to hang out in the park abit, think about dropping down in length. it will help with his balance, increase his ability to turn, and in the park are eaiser to "get around" on and initiate slides/grinds
