Extreme All Sport in Chantilly, VA

Just wanted to plug this guys shop (Pete). Stopped in last Saturday looking for some new boots for my 6yr old son. They were very attentive and polite with me and my family and not pushy at all. We discussed several different options for boots and as I was looking around I noticed some possible skis for my son. Pete told me about how he buys a lot of last year models at wholesale cost and then passes the savings along to customers. Well these savings were INSANE.

Got my son a set of Atomics along with bindings and a new set of boots for under $200. (Just so you know boots were $105 of the total). I then swung back in yesterday and picked myself up a pair of Atomic Supercross (last year model still in plastic) for an unbelievable price. I talked with Pate for a while just about skiing in general.

All in all I would reccomend folks dropping by his place if you are in the area. Small place but great selection and amazing deals on previous year skis.

Heres the website. Also what I liked about the guy was his honesty. He was 100% upfront with what he told you and gave his honest opinions on various brands.

We love this shop! We've been buying ski gear from Pete for about 5 years, and he's won our loyalty since we always get great prices and honest feedback. He really tries to get you on the right skis for your skill level and budget, doesn't oversell you gear you don't need. On the other hand, he'll suggest an upgrade when appropriate - my dad was ready for higher-performing skis last winter, and he is really pleased with the Atomic skis Pete suggested. Not to mention we saw the same ones were priced several times higher in Switzerland - and it was not just due to the exchange rates! Also, he put my older son on a nice pair of Rossignols last year that I saw (used) at the DC ski swap for almost the same price we paid new.

Our kids call Pete "our favorite ski dude." \:\)

Glad to see I am not the only one. He is fantastic. Also showed me an up level from the atomics I bought but talked me out of them basically cause I really didnt need them.

Great guy. \:\)

Not quite the same place as the former Ski Chalet site...but close. Both were located near each other for a couple of years.
When the Chalet would hold their "Dilly in Chantilly" at the old location, the other ski shop would put out a sandwich board sign on the street calling attention to a "Ski Sale" which drew in some of the Chalet crowd>

The last time I was in that shop was probably November of 2000; there was a sandwich/gyro place between Old Chalet and the discount guy, is that still there?

Impressive selection of Blizzard, Stockli on the website.

Since I was in the area and remembered the recent posts about Extreme All Sports, I stopped in the shop tonight. A ton of goodies at great prices. Even had new Volant hand made skis...for about $700.
Great small shop with fantastic customer service!
Stop by if you are going to the Ski Expo this weekend and tell them DCSki sent you.

My thanks to skiTLINE for starting this thread and to everyone who added their comments. Went to the Ski & Snowboard Expo today ('twas worth it, IMHO) and then checked out Extreme All Sport. Pete and his staff were great. Picked up new (but old-model) twin-tip skis and bindings for my son and a brain bucket (a first) for me.

I'll second everything positive said in this thread about the service, knowledge and prices here.

Place is still there and going strong. Recommend calling before going as sometimes the hours are iffy.
