WILLAMETTE PASS OPEN FOR SKIING, RIDING JUNE 14 AND 15

SAM Magazine-Will this season ever end? Willamette Pass will begin summer gondola operations Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, with sightseeing to the top of Eagle Peak and skiing and snowboarding on the Peak 2 lift.

Due to all the snow covering the slopes, Willamette is unable to offer its usual summer fare of mountain biking, hiking, and downhill disc golf. "This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for our resort," owner Tim Wiper said. "In my 26 years of operating the resort, I know there has never been snow like this. I hope to see tons of people up here this weekend skiing and riding the slopes of Peak 2 and enjoying the comfort of our Oregon Skyway gondolas."
