I just received word from Massanutten that they'll be offering $12 lift tickets through the remainder of the season to anyone with a season pass, from any resort. Massanutten has 100% of their terrain open and will be open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13, and then 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Sunday, March 14 through Sunday, March 21. $12lift tickets were offered on one night a week earlier in the season. Now that they are offered all the time up to the end of ski season, there is no reason not to take a day trip to the Virginia resort. It's about a 2 1/2 drive from the Rockville area. The kind folks at the resort will treat you right. If you're lucky, crowds on Diamond Jim and Paradice, the two expert slopes at the mountain's summit, will be crowdless and endless carving opportunities await!
