Isn't the lower one solid piece on plug boots? (instead of traditional overlap).

My son has a pair of Lang plugs.... the only boot he doesn't squish out. They are hard to come by, but for big bodied racers, it's the only option. I agree with Comprex, though. I couldn't/wouldn't do it.

wow I cant believe noone on here knows what a plug boot is or who was the first skier to use in WC competion?

A plug boot is a boot which has a size larger external mold for what ever the internal mold is. this was first used by tombo as he was much to strong for 'normal' boots.

Plus a plug boot doesnt have to 'painful' its can fit as well as any other boot given a good boot fitter.

I just dont like them due to the stiff and little forward flex. IMO if you ski off groomed most of the time they are pretty dumb investment for most people.

Plus your foot will shrink after a few days skiing. Belleayre isn't the Hannenkahm. I'd think leather boots in decent condition would be a more appropriate choice.

Believe it, kid. We're keeping it real. Actually, I think Comprex and Noone know what it is, but the rest of us are gladly without a clue.
