went to Roundtop yesterday for 1st time in about 5 years. Got there at 1:30 skied a few runs and came down and the Demo day was wrapping up so I had to ski my own skis
Conditions were stupendous. The only ice was on skiers far left from top winding trail (Barretts Run) that leads to the green slopes and on/near the jumps. We missed the sssscccrraaappppp of skiing on ice

cold kept the crowd down (I think) cuz the lines were nothing like WT. Sesquahenna had some nice terrain features and big mounds that were great fun. Lafeyettes Leap had some nice junior moguls. My buddy and sons hit the half pip and said it was in very good condtion.
There were several ungroomed runs and Gunbarrel/Ramrod were both open, empty and in great condition. Went down Upper RR with my strong intermediate son "just to do it."
We are heading to Elk today (dusting of snow) and Sno Mountain tommorrow. I will stick to skis today at Elk and ride my board on Monday at Sno. This is a replay of a get-away trip from last year. Gets us on a different hill away from mom, in a jucuzzi, to a few restaurants, . . .
I am hoping we keep this cold around and get rid of WTs freeze thaw thing. Would like to know how WT was this weekend. Hopefully some will write a TR.
