Sun, sun, go away
It's way too hot this time in May
Cicadas chirp "oy vey, oy vey"
While A-C units hum away
And traffic turns the air to haze
The tourists faint in front of Abe
And all before Memorial Day.

UGH.

Roger,
I agree! It's too hot for May! [Eek!] I like winter, I can always put on the right layers to stay warm. Like Jimmy said, ski season is six months away. [Razz]

I want to move to Alaska! I hate the hot weather, especially this early. What a difference 50 miles makes, DC summers are THE WORST.

Alaska? Heck, it's been cooler in Atlanta for the last two weeks than it has been here! That's pathetic. 54 in Boston, 65 in Seattle, 49 in Missoula, 86 in Atlanta... 91 in Washington DC. UGH. At least the cicadas seem to be enjoying it.

I flew to Los Angeles yesterday for business. The high was 66. The low was around 51 last night. However, by Sunday, it's supposed to get to a sweltering 78.

This is the only time I've really enjoyed being in LA.

It has felt unseasonably warm here in Florida too. Normally, the highest temperatures are in July; but the oven is already cranking!

Alaska. Where the odds aren't good, and the goods are odd.

With these near-record temperatures and the @#$^&#$@ cicadas, it's been a pretty miserable month. Too bad, May is usually one of the nicest months of the year in DC.
