First Snow of the Season - Summit County, CO.
September 19, 2009
Summit County got it's first snow during the night on Sept 12, 2009. It started pretty high - my guess 11,500 feet, and it wasn't much (maybe an inch), but it was the first new white of the season. The above treeline parts of the Ten Mile Range were white as were the high parts of A-Basin's East Wall which is part of the Continental Divide.
On my way back to Denver, I stopped on Loveland Pass and made my earliest snowball ever.
May the snow gods be kind to all.
