Houston, we have a problem. grin

So that we're all on the same page, WROD =

In other woids, early/late season fraction of a slope.

It don't matter what you're skiing on, just wear protection. The body armor kind, not the other kind. Even Bode won't escape unharmed. Pretend you're a Redskins or Stillers QB. (Not a fan of either for the lurkers.)

Hockey gear. Football gear. Rugby gear (Jagermeister).

Just don't hit Ro. Or the liftie at the bottom.

My old Rossi 9S World Cups made any kind of turn I wanted. That is what amazed me most, long turns, short turns, no turns, it seemed that all I had to do was think of it and it happen. I can't say the same about the Rossi VS Oversize I bought to replace them. Although just a tad longer and a little wider they just don't seem to be as stiff or quick as the old world cups.

I guess what I'm saying is that even some FIS SL race skis don't demand to be on edge all the time. Marcus liked his SLs so much they are his everyday ski of choice.

Yes but he has the citizens version of the 9S. Both his and mine are a 155. I know, they are for women or lighter skiers but I can't ski them like world cup women athletes and they were plenty enough ski for me. Marcus is about 20lb. lighter than me so the ski shop available 9S worked well for him. I don't know if today's Rossis are just as effortless. Mine were from 2003/04 bought used. Marc's were maybe a year older.

If you see some used Rossi 9S around for a good price give them a try. I'd like to find some old world cups again. I had a new pair of Recons and I hardly ever skied them until I bent my Rossis. I really like the Recons now but I just couldn't get off of my 9S to give them a chance.
