Just a reminder, there is a Telemark Clinic on Saturday January 23rd at Timberline. I participate every year and always learn something. They have excellent instructors and the instructor to student ratio is always high. Good place to meet other Tele people.

Hope to see you.

This is a near-all-day event. Based on the number of hours on the snow, it's almost like having a near-private class for about $7 an hour. That can't be beat.
If I have time, I will take photos of all participants.
Of course you can purchase photos on www.akaflash.com, but REALLY: the main objective is that I teach telemark, and I attach great importance to movement analysis.
I am not sitting back... am I?
My front leg is bent... right?
Am I not already looking down the fall line?
(most of which you can even answer yourself)
Either way, have a blast - FREE YOUR HEELS.

Had a great time at this clinic last year... I'll be out of town this weekend, but can hopefully make it to the telemark festival at Timberline in February!

I'm going to be starting my drive west this weekend. Thinking of first going to Mammoth for a while, then Alta. I have passes at both. smile

Not to diss T-line cuz the instructors there are great (daryl, shelly, rick, tom, etc) but they will have a clinic about every month.
This weekend at White Grass is a once a year NATO Telemark Workshop with the one and only Dickie Hall that I think intuitive people may get a lot more out of. What's interesting is, that if there is not enough natural snow they usually go to timberline.

Denis - you upset me grin
Would you like me to help you pack some ice (we all know that you'll miss it a little)

I think everyone involved thinks Dickie runs a good clinic. I've done both and got more out of the PSIA clinic, but to each their own. Chaga is right though, Dickie will only be here once a year. The half dozen Tele instructors at Timberline are there every week and they are a generous group. If they get to know you and you ski at Timberline they will help you on a regular basis. I can't tell you how many times one of them sees me in line and jumps on the lift with me and takes a couple of runs.

Price might be a little bit of an issue during these harder present times - doesn't mean you can't learn or have fun. In fact, Timberline is offering $11 off to ALL clinic participants.
Their telemark clinic is $65 - for all day (pretty hard to beat).
Registration: 8:30am
Photo Shoot: 11:30am for group one, 12:00pm for group two.
Photography will be taken care of by AKA FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY - photos will be on www.visitcanaan.com the next day.
