Just a word... great! grin The mountain was in great shape and they had made snow on the drop too give it the whales a velvet coating. Great bump run right now. They received ample snow on Friday/Saturday and the sun came out and warmed things up to around 18 on Sunday. We were skiing everything. In some places powder shots were knee high. Still a good base in the trees ands with more snow to come it could be epic again by the weekend.

How long do you think conditions will hold at Timeberline? We would like to go first weekend in March? Am I crazy?

This is the Mid Atlantic so you never know about the weather. Could be rain, could be TONS of snow. March is typically our big snow month, so odds are better for good weather (IMHO).

As for the resort's base...it will be there. They've had plenty of natural snowfall and also had plenty of opportunity to make snow. Snow will be around for a good while up there.

If it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to book a trip for the 1st weekend in March. You'll have a blast. And be sure to check in here often, as you will get plenty of firsthand info about conditions, happenings, and weather for the Valley.

Welcome to the board!!!!

David, nice makin turns with you on Saturday. Can't believe how much snow was in the bowl. laugh Jimmy picked a good one for us. Can't believe the Mrs joined us. She is ususally not up for steep trees but seemed to enjoy it.

As far as going in March.... ARE YOU CRAZY???? It'll be just awful! You don't wanna waste your money! (gotta make folks think that it's terrible in March so I can have more freshies to myself smirk )
