so, we'd go up first thing (my gf has the day off already), but I have to go in to the office for a meeting in the AM. After that, we're headed up to Liberty for a few hours mid-afternoon.

Anyone who sees us (me: blue Cloudveil jacket, brown-ish pants, orange Nordica Hot Rod Nitrous skis, black helmet; jana: orange/white Obermeyer jacket, charcoal pants, blue Dynastar skis, greenish-blue helmet), say hi!

I am going to wait until Sun.

But I do have these "moth and the flame" and "wax wings and the sun" analogies and cliche's running in my head.

The conditions will get better and better---tempting just one more run, but the roads will get worse and worse with each run.

Have fun.

Aaron - have a great time! You're leaving early enough that your biggest hassle will be the traffic out of DC. After that, you're clear. Hope you have a place to stay up there as Saturday will be epic! It will definitely rival the snow from 12/19.

Made it there and back. Skied from 2:45-ish to 5-ish. The conditions were improving the whole time, and the place was pretty empty. We wanted to keep skiing, but decided the roads would be getting dicey, and we weren't wrong. I think that if we'd waited another 15-20 minutes, we would have been in a world of hurt...

Had things to tend to at the house that couldn't have been left alone for the night. Trust me, we tried!

Oh well, at least you got some of the action Friday. I didn't ski at all. I was going to tour the neighborhood yesterday, but I didn't. Maybe later this morning.

Stuck at home, I built a snow cave in my front yard for Jackson to play in.
