Lots of wind, but not much snow yet. Hoping to wake up to a pile. Maybe Canaan is getting more?

There's going to be a ton of snow out there tomorrow!

Skiers from out West are booking flights to ski the East Coast!
Was I dreaming again?
We have over 20 inches of snow right now on Canaan Heights.
Timberline was incredible
Canaan Resort looks fantistic
White Grass is burried with smiles
Blackwater State Park is ready for extreme skiing (guessing, but nice thought)

Alright... stop reading - you know what to do.

Snowshoe website is reporting 23 inches of new snow. I don't see it. Maybe the wind has keep it off the top and the slopes will be epic?? I keep looking out to where I parked my truck when we arrived yesterday and not much has piled up. heading out in a few minutes, so will know one way or other. The wind has died down and all trails are open, so looking forward to the day regardless!

I'm hoping to ski in the Valley on Sunday/Monday, but I'm getting some resistance from some of my crew. Might have to leave some of them at home with a box of Cheerios.

Here's some snow fall totals

Centreville, VA - 24"
CVR - 12"
Wisp - +20"
BK - 14-16"
Shoe - 23"
7Springs - 22"
Liberty - 18"
Whitetail - 14-20"

Whitetail has groomed everything but 3 trails. frown frown

I dropped off my fat skis off on Thursday for a quick tune and when I picked them up yesterday, they said these will come in handy at Whitetail on Saturday. I shrugged my shoulders and replied "you have to go to WV for some real powder skiing". With WT grooming everything, I guess I was right.

About 19" in Falls Church. It's snowed about 3" more in last couple hours. This thing ain't done! I just spent two hours shoveling out my walk/driveway/cars. Saw one monster truck drive in and out of my neighborhood to drop someone off at a house. Impressed me, must have been four wheel drive, had high clearance.

Well I don't know about 23 inches, didn't seem that much but slopes were nice. A few ice spots but mostly lot of pow pow and bumps.

How many trails were left ungroomed?

I think there were more ungroomed then groomed. Around Ballhooter lift and western territory were mostly ungroomed.
