Not really important, but does anyone know why Snowshoe doesn't have their pipe open? Doesn't matter to me but I was sort of hoping it would open up when my nephew and friends head up in a couple of weeks. Did they open it last year at all?

I have not seen the snowshoe pipe open in the last several years. As far as terrain parks go, this is where Snowshoe is truly lacking. First, the Pipe is one built out of earth that they just blow snow into, it is not an all snow halfpipe, so it really was never that nice of a pipe anyway. It is a shame that snowshoe doesn't go the extra mile and make a superpipe or at least multiple progressive level pipes. I don't even ski halfpipe but this feature is key to the progression of the sport and snowshoe as an elite area. 7 springs for example, has a world class superpipe and a smaller one for learning the ropes as well.
