I saw on tv a few minutes ago that Emmitsburg and Frederick, MD received over 20" of snow in yesterday's storm and that I70 and Rt 15 are closed in those areas right now. Might want to check with your respective State Transportation Dept before venturing out today.

Chill. As someone who did double duty in various operations all weekend, it's kind of tough to get the workers up there. No one lives at Whitetail. Most folks are at least 10 miles away - if not 90 like me. Many workers have been sleeping at the lodge to open the next day. You need workers to run the lifts, patrol the mountain and open the lodge...and a road that's been plowed by the State or County to get them there early, and then the guests.

You'll get your powder day. It just won't be until noon. Enjoy. We could have no snow...

Change that. Powder day on Friday.

Whitetail is closed today. PA has declared a state of emergency on area roads...apparently you can't be on them.
