For the fifth consecutive year, myself and 11 friends are heading to T Line. We all go in, and get a slopeside on Winterset. We always arrive on Wednesday night, and get two good days before the Saturday crowd. Last year a handful went to Whitegrass on Saturday, and came back raving about the whole experience. This year I was considering skiing Canaan on Saturday. I hear good things, but wanted to get some input before I abandon the conveniences of a slopeside house for a day.

Are the crowds considerably less at Canaan on a Saturday?

Is a "ski the valley" ticket the way to go?

Compare the mountain to T Line for me...Will it keep a strong intermediate entertained?

Thanks for the help.

Canaan has an 850 vert VS TL's 1000 & the slopes are a little less Steep but its still a fun Mtn with lots of options to head down on...The Crowd factor on Sat is the major plus! The Mtn is really Scenic & the lift tickets a little cheaper. Half day tickets can be bought at 1130AM for a 12 to 430 session & every Mon you can ski all day for $10 bucks if you bring a can of food!!!...its a whole 5 min from TL..Take a Leave from your slopeside comfort buddy!
