Ski town Boone,NC broke their alltime Season Snow Total a week or so ago with some surrounding Mountains adding another 20 to 35 inches of Snow during this latest 4 day snowfest. Mount mitchell,NC reported a 58 inch snow cover this morn which breaks all obs records since 1980!
I'll be Skiing in NC this weekend grin..it doesn't get any better than this!

Gotta give props to most forecasters this year - dry in the rockies, snowy in the mid and southeast - right on. This is the snow totals for ski beech, half of the canaan valley, but not too shabby at all. Recent videos of adventurous tree skiing. Looks like I'll stay close to home also.

That Pic has the "WOW" factor going for it Murphy!! I have been on Clingmans Dome looking out & over to Mt. Laconte which is an awesome sight as well.
I think beech Mountain Averages around the mid 70's for the year so 102 is doing great but I'm sure they have had higher totals than that.Rich mountain in the boone area was the winner with 35 inches reported in this latest round.

Keyser Ridge, MD has received 225" of snow as of Tuesday of this week. Thus I assume Wisp and the Laurel Highlands have received similar amounts. A great year by any standard!
