Next weekend is the Timberline T-Mark Festival. Saturday they have their full day Tele Clinic. Snow conditions are excellent and as of last weekend there is more bump skiing then I've ever seen at Timberline. Excellent conditions for practicing new techniques. On Sunday they have a Backcountry Hash and a resort race - don't know much about those events. Combine the cheap ski passes this weekend with a very reasonable clinic price with great teacher/student ratios and you have an excellent deal. I'll be participating on Saturday and will free ski with anyone that wants to on Sunday if people are looking to make a weekend of it.

the Hash is organized by Canaan Valley Hash House Harriers which is a group that has "ski hashes" a few times a month somewhere local that has trails. google "hashing" and you will get the idea of what its about. It darn good fun tho. Usually 2 'hares' get a head start and the rest of the pack (hounds) have to try and catch them but the hares try and throw the hounds off course with false trail markings and leaving beer that the hounds have to stop and drink to slow them down. Awesome fun, but you need to be on XC skis. The race is put on by Warren at TLine. Just a course all around the mountain with lots of uphill skiing to be done as well as downhill. Fun also. I think last year had over a 1000' vert climbing. Free heel xc skis needed also.

Chaga,

Thanks for the extra info. I was talking to Warren about it a few weeks ago and he said they had a good time last year. Should be really fun with all the snow in the woods.
