My wife and I are heading to the valley next weekend fri-sun. Thinking about t-line fri/sun and canaan sat and have a place to stay in Davis thanks to input from folks on DCski...thanks so much!

We would like to avoid food at resorts if possible but seem to be having trouble finding restaurants online in the area. We usually look for the pub atmosphere where full meals are an option and a good brew selection is pretty important to me. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Look no further than Hellbender Burritos in downtown davis. Pretty small, but grab a table downstairs for your pub atmosphere and watch the olympics, tons of good brews. Sirianis is across the street for pizza and pasta. Purple Fiddle 2 miles north in Thomas has your live music and selection brews too for evening entertainment.

Chaga covered most of it. If you are staying in Davis you will have a few choices within walking distance (we own the Meyer House B&B) and most of our guests rave at the unique atmosphere of Hellbenders (and the food and beer, too). Siriannis is always popular, and Muttleys Steakhouse is always a hit, too (they have a pub area also).

There are also a couple other restaurants in Davis such as the Blackwater Brewing Company and the Sawmill Restaurant, but those are further up on the main drag and are either a longer walk (and a hassle with all the snow around), or a very short drive.

Otherwise you have a short drive to Thomas for the Purple Fiddle, or to Canaan for other choices (I'll let someone else cover those)
